This is an almost rust free Arizona car. A true SS Nova. Recently moved to Oregon.194ci 6cyl. Power Glide Trans. Born in Oakland Ca. in the second week in June 63. The matching engine was built May 18th 63. Contrary to some belief, Chevy never put a V8 in a 63 Nova. Customers did.The Power Glide is the original as is the rear end with 3:36 gears.It has the very rare Satin Grey paint Code 940, per the cowl tag.Interior is Black vinyl imitation leather Code 702.Condition: The car sat for the last 5 years. The gas tank was replaced with the fuel pump and the original carburetor was rebuilt. It has all new brakes with master. A complete front end rebuild. New battery with cables. Rebuilt distributor with wires and plugs. The tires were new 5 years ago and still look new. The body is virtually rust free with the exception of the center trunk pan due to leaking trunk seal that still needs to be replaced. A replacement center trunk panel costs $70 at Classic Industries. I don't have the welding skill or I would have replaced that already. The side extension panels are solid. The body panels are solid with no rust and all line up well. There is no indication of anything more than minor damage - drivers side fender replacement and a minor hit at the drivers side tail end.The interior is all original. Seats covered with 1990's Walmart seat covers. The frames are in good shape for restoration. All the gauges work but the clock does not. New heater core just installed. Head liner is gone but all the hardware is there. Glass is in great shape except for the windshield. Great looking original console with the original and unique looking shifter.The car runs and drives very well. Starts right up and runs smooth. The transmission is solid and shifts smoothly. Really easy on gas and is proving to be very reliable.This is an excellent candidate for a full restoration.
