I am selling my 1964 Pontiac Lemans 2 door hardtop PROJECT CAR. It is/was a highly optioned car originally including bucket seats, console, factory AC, power windows and AC. Here is a little history of the car. I recently purchased this car from the original owner. Aprox 20 years ago he decided to have the car completely “restored”. It was dropped off at the shop and was worked on over the next 19 years. The car was dis-assembled, body removed from the frame…etc. The frame and suspension components were powder coated, Engine and transmission rebuilt, many new parts purchased and refurbished. All body work was completed, and car was partially painted (silver). About one year ago the shop working on the car closed and car was retrieved from shop partially assembled with boxes of parts. Original owner said he spent over $20K during that time. When I purchased the car I was assured all parts to assemble car were present. This turned out NOT to be true. Here is a detailed description of what I have found: BODY Body is partially painted, but some items are not, such as hood and cowl. Painted parts show some damage to paint. All body work was completed including nicely finished trunk and interior floor. Car will require very little work before it will be ready for paint. Looks like they modified fire wall for the clean look. Bumpers look like they were rechromed years ago but will require it again. Windshield and rear glass installed and in good shape. Includes all new door, quarter, and wing window glass that need to be installed. Has all electric window motors but no window switches. Did not find any of the body stainless trim pieces. MECHANICS I have a receipt dated 2004 showing a complete rebuild of the 326. Included is a Aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb, and a serpentine system including a vintage AC system. The motor and transmission(also rebuilt) are installed in car. Motor has never been fired. I pulled the valve covers and everything looked new. No master cylinder, no exhaust system, no radiator, Has new complete wiring harness/es installed. INTERIOR Front bucket seats and rear seat completely rebuilt and in great shape. New carpet kit installed Dash has all new wiring but needs to be assembled. No door panels, Has complete vintage air system installed under dash. I have some of the shifter parts but no Console. CONCLUSION. Here is a great project car for the right person. It has all the hard and expensive stuff done but still needs lots and lots of assembly work, including locating all the missing pieces.Perfect car for LS swap / Restomod / Pro-tourer If someone had a rusty donor car this would be the perfect replacement. Please look at pictures I have installed all the larger parts on the car for easier transport, but all other parts can be loaded in the trunk and interior. Car is sold as is / where is. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the new owner. Please keep in mind non-running cars are pricey to ship. Car is located in Sanger California (near Fresno) I have a California title in my name. I have it registered as NO-OP.
