Paste link into a browser window: [isdntekvideo] click the above arrow/picture for a video of this super fun 74 alfa romeo inezione 2000 spider or follow this youtube link I am relisting this Alfa as the top bidder from overseas never contacted me after winning it, only offer if you are serious about buying it as I turn all no pays and disappearing acts into ebay no exceptions. Up for sale is this 1974 Alfa romeo spider. It is a Iniezione 2000 model. I bought this car to be part of my personal collection of classics and to use for the summer when I did not want to drive one of my higher dollar classic cars. I used this car as a daily driver almost everyday through out the summer months. I was told the guy I got it from was the 2nd owner of the car. He told me he found it stored inside a airplane hanger in Dubuque iowa where he lives and that a doctor who lived in Missouri and Dubuque owned the car and drove it when he flew into iowa. When I first got it, I drove it home around 3 hours. It ran and drove nice. I took it to my local mechanic to go through it as I knew I would keep it around to use personally. He replaced a clutch slave cylinder that was getting bad, fixed a oil leak from the pan gasket and did a general tune up. ( see receipts and extra gaskets if you need them down the road etc.) This car runs and drives very good. The manual stick 5 speed shifts all gears like it should. The engine runs strong. The gauges are working. The speedometer is working but reads ten miles per a hour faster than you are actual going. The rpm gauge works. The odometer reads 36294 but I noticed it comes and goes. selling miles exempt as the car is over ten years old. The radio turns on but I could not get it to consistently play stations etc. The tires look good and the wheels look good. My mechanic told me that down the road if I were to keep it it would need ball joints eventually. not bad yet but you can feel them once in a while in 2nd gear at the start. Nothing I would say to fix right away or overly concerning. Brakes stop the car nice. the wipers work and the fan for the heater etc works. Overall its a very nice running mechanically sound car that has not given me any issues since I started driving it for the summer as my daily driver. The cosmetics are very good for the year and age of the car in my opinion. This is not a super restored alfa but a nice survivor. You can see minor chips/scuffs/ minor rust bubbles etc here and there. 5 feet away tough to see but you can see the blemishes close up. I saw some bubbles along the extreme lower edge of the rockers, a small spot along the edge of the nose and some starting by the tailpipe. Nothing crazy enough for what I used it for and hard to see but there. The interior is original. I had seat covers put on over the original red seat upholstery that is torn in spots. The black seat covers are nice looking and have great padding. The dash pad looks good, one crack in the top middle. the floors, frame and underside looks solid. best to check out the video as i took a ton of pics and video to show it for what it is. The top looks really good and goes up and down well. The glass looks good and the windows roll up and down. The trunk looks solid. I do not want to overcall it or undercall it, this in my opinion is something you can buy and start having fun with right away or restore it to a high level as the value of these are starting to climb more and more. It has a clean title ready for you to register. I have some extra parts I pictured in the trunk and the some original paperwork from when bought new as well as the original alfa service card. call me with questions 563 568 1186 I require a 250 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. if i do not get the deposit before you come for the car or within the time frame, i will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I invite you to come check it out in my classic showroom at my dealership teddy's auto sales waukon iowa or hire ebay or a local mechanic to do a private inspection. the plates, plate toppers and dash magnets do not go with the sale. I can help recommend shippers i have used before who have been very reasonable. I reserve the right to end the listing at any time if someone buys it locally/early etc .Thanks for looking! This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied.
