CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
This one-family car was sold new at Marker Motors in Columbus, Montana, and spent its life in Billings, where it was kept in the garage and used for special occasions, especially trips to visit family in Red Lodge. It eventually stopped being driven, and I bought it from the estate. The best word to describe this car is “immaculate”. It looks, feels, starts, drives, and even smells like a new car. The interior is finished in a beautiful turquoise with leather upholstery, and even features factory turquoise floor mats. Loaded with a 318 V8 and automatic, power steering, power brakes, cruise control, air conditioning, tilt wheel, AM/FM Stereo with 8-track, and intermittent wipers (which sometimes need a few tries to park correctly). Everything works. Ice-cold AC, a great heater, lights, horn, gauges, etc. The fully-carpeted trunk includes the spare and tools, and looks like it was never used. The motor fires instantly and settles into a smooth idle, and the V8 provides plenty of power for climbing hills or cruising effortlessly at highway speeds thanks to the 2.40 gearing. I have only taken it on two long trips, and it seemed to get mileage in the low 20's. Steers straight and tight, brakes evenly and well, and shifts exactly as it should. Quiet on the road with no leaky door seals or rattles. All rubber is soft and pliable, as new. Chrome has a mirror finish, and the padded top is flawless. Only two minor dents as pointed to by the arrows in the last two photographs (hardly noticeable). As a lifelong Montana car, it is totally rust-free, and based on how clean it is underneath, I'm guessing that it was never driven in wet or snowy weather anyway. The right side of the car was repainted below the pinstripe, believed to be due to a spilled paint accident years ago - the color was matched perfectly and you wouldn't notice unless it was pointed out, and there is no evidence of any body damage.Recent work includes new tires, brakes, battery, fluids/filters, and shocks. This car needs nothing, and I would feel comfortable driving it across the country and back tomorrow. Comes with the factory manuals. A few of the things that I like about it are that it has all of the style and comfort of cars of this era, but fits in any garage and gets good gas mileage. This is a no-disappointment car, and probably the finest example left in existence. Happy to answer any questions.
