I purchased this car to bring up all the fundamentals - mechanical, body, rust removal and use quality parts so that someone could take it to the next level. I've purchased nearly all the components from Mustang Etc. in Van Nuys which has been in business for more than 30 years and most major work has been done by them. They are considered to be one of the best. I have a full inspection report from them in addition to a 3 page repairs list I have kept. I've put more than $38,000 into the car. Unfortunately, I am letting it go for less as I want to part with it quickly to help me move out of the city. Below are just some of the details.1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1Engine: V8 351 ClevelandCarburetor: Edelbrock 4 Barrel Tires: Brand New GLA Premium rims (FW175P), Brand New BF Goodrich TA radial tiresMileage: 79,500 Color: Matte BlackInterior: Black and Red all new TMI Mach 1 Red and Black seats (rear and front), new floor upholstery and back seatsNew Parts: brand new radiator - increased size - drives in 105 degree weather with the temperature never exceeding 1/4 of the temperature gauge, rear chrome bumper, front-end, brakes (all upgraded)Fully tuned by Ford specialist.Car recently serviced at Mustangs Etc. Van Nuys - fully rebuilt rear differential, replaced axle bearings, new brake drums, new fuel lines, front and rear wiring upgrades/check - all lights working (front, rear, blinkers, etc...)This car runs amazing well, freeway, streets, etc... Entirely new back-end with original size steel panels, trunk and floor panelings, rear quarter panels (basically the entire rear of the car is brand-new)All parts which have been replaced with Scott Drake components or mid range to upper level qualityReceipts in hand for all mechanical service, body work and partsI recently drove the car to a potential buyer (roughly 200 miles) in 100+ degree weather - temperature gauge never exceed 1/4 - never got hot and drove like a champ. There is one small rust hole - very hard to get to between the outer and inside barrier (about the size of a silver dollar) next to the driver's side rear seat on the left (when facing front). Aside from that - all rust has been removed as far as I know and I've inspected 90%+ of the body several times with inspection cameras and my eye balls. I'll provide more details to serious buyers. |
