Up for sale is a 1928 Ford Model A Roadster Pick-Up Truck With Removable Top It is an older restoration with original colors moss green and black. Paint is chipped in places, driver’s door has a ding at corner of door but overall,looks good, runs good, drives good, in good condition and even sounds good. All fenders, metal panels are steel – no fiberglass, no rust. Every inch has been completely gone over to insure it is solid and dependable. I have receipts for nearly $2,000 in parts.ENGINE: The engine isa Model B engine with more horse power than the Model A (50 HP verses 40 HP). New Champion spark plugs, (original style),points condenser, rotor and distribution cap. In appearance the Model B engine and Model A are almost identical. The radiator hoses and clamps have beenreplaced with original style. Theexhaust manifold was replaced with new and muffler and tailpipe ARIES brandwhich sounds great as original. The oilpan gasket was replaced. The Model Bcarburetor was rebuilt. The enginestarts and runs good and looks good too. CHASSIS: The frontsprings of the truck was replaced with new springs to bring back the originalheight. Four (4) new tires, tubes andvalves were added. Front and rear wheelbearings were cleaned and repacked. AllFluids were replaced and lubrication done. BODY: The door panel sand seat upholstery are same color and style as original. The steering wheel is original 1928 red-brown color. Only in 1928 was the Red steering wheel used. The top is removable and comes with all-weather side panels as shown in photos. Oak side rails and oak bed flooring were added. Original fluted headlight lens are in place. All lacing and welt weather stripping has been replaced. An aftermarket temperature gauge has been added. The gas gauge has been rebuilt. The speedometer and trip meter work fine. BRAKES: The old mechanical brakes were replaced with more modern and safer hydraulic brakes by the previous owner. A new master cylinder was added and all brake cylinders rebuilt. ELECTRICAL: The 6 volt system was kept and upgraded to a 6 volt hi-output alternator. An isolation switch is installed in the cab to disconnect battery from the system. A relay was added in the horn circuit for reliability. A Logolite turn signal kit has been added. Original horn works great. New 6 Volt battery. MISC: Included is the original hand crank/lug wrench, miscellaneous new parts, and Model A Repair Books. Included in the sale if the buyer wants it is a disassembled Model A engine. The engine block looks in good shape and the babbit bearings look fair. Bell housing and clutch are also included. New clutch linkage and after-market transmission oil seal assembly added inside the transmission. This is a 92 year old vehicle so no warranties or guarantees can be given. As-Is. I will assist in loading the vehicle by a carrier of the buyers choosing.
