CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1977 International Scout II TravelerFor sale BY OWNER.Rare 4-speed, with Air Conditioning!Parked in back shed/garage since approximately 1998. A bit dusty and can use a good polish. Started periodically and maintained but, just not used. Has new fuel and runs great. Couple rust spots here & there, and has a couple bumps on the driver's door but really remarkable shape overall. Nothing's been shined up to look glamorous. This is best described as a good project vehicle. No clever "dealer photography". This is a private sale and I've tried to take honest pics of it's best and worst. Exterior thumps on driver door can be probably be taken out with a suction cup, or pushed out from behind by taking off the door panel. I'd suggest though it'd be best looked after by a paintless dent repair specialist. There's a few small rust spots that are really minor (I tried to include pics of all) but it's right through along the rocker panel, just ahead of the passenger rear wheel. I'll try get down and take some underneath pics this week. On top though, there's 2 spots a little larger than a silver-dollar on the cowl (If you need to see them, please write. I hit the photo limit on eBay). These are minor. I'd call the rust by the passenger rocker major in comparison. All in all, I think the best I can describe this as would be a good honest vintage SUV project for someone skilled with old vehicles. It's never been abused and been obviously treated quite well other than it's extended decades-long storage hibernation. Generally speaking, unlike most of these, it's had a relatively easy life.Location, details, etc....This vehicle located in Calgary Alberta Canada. Ebay does not have provision for those with multiple residences. Please do not write to me asking where it's located. It is in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Shipping is from Calgary Alberta Canada. Vehicle is built in the United States, it is antique status, and free to travel without restriction. My wife will set up shipping for the new owner. No concerns, no worries.Titling is 100% perfectly transferable. PLEASE NOTE: The current border closure applies to personal travel ONLY...not shipments or deliveries.Review our feedback please. ....Each is for a 40+ year old vehicle! During our relatively short tenure on eBay, we've figured out 2 very important things are communication and procedure. We have a little procedure. Our little procedure focuses on communication. It goes as follows:We're not interested in Paypal or deposits... I don't care for deposits. If you want this Scout, you know the value of what you're looking at. If you are bidding, please be serious as I am and understand our adherence to this little system/procedure. It's to help both of us. If, for any reason, you cannot adhere to this procedure, please let us know BEFORE BIDDING. OR,....IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK OR ARE NEW TO EBAY YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING. Otherwise, I will cancel your bid. DELIVERY:...to most states and destinations is in the $1500+ range. Please keep that in mind. Budget for at least this amount. Texas and Florida, and other far southeastern states, are obviously a bit more at minimum $2250-ish. Any required inspections, certifications, registrations, paperwork, or anything else are the buyer's responsibility. I don't know the rules in each particular state so, am selling as per Alberta rules. My wife has become pretty good at setting up shipping and, is happy to assist. Rest is up to you. Payment is by bank transfer, US account to US account. As stated, I don't ask for Paypal. Once payment is received, everything else is ready to proceed from there. I believe putting this Suburban unreserved will easily make up for any shipping costs. Somebody is likely to get a heck of a deal. CALLS:Even a long-winded description like mine is bound to miss a few details. If you'd like to speak over the phone, I'm happy to hear from you. Please write and we'll make arrangements. If you are from OVERSEAS, please know we have shipped long distances several times. We are happy to assist. Since beginning to narrow down our inadvertent collection a couple years ago, we've sold to England, France, Germany, Holland, Slovenia, as well as the Middle East and New Zealand. If it says anything about what kind of sellers we are... We have sold 6 (six !!) to one gentleman alone in Holland, 2 to another, and 2 to one fellow in England. And, well...... I believe that covers everything. Good luck & HAPPY BIDDING. On Sep-06-20 at 21:45:37 PDT, seller added the following information:Seat covers have been on since new. I just cut them off for pictures. On Sep-07-20 at 20:42:06 PDT, seller added the following information:A few people have asked now about the top and doors....On Sep-09-20 at 21:09:27 PDT, seller added the following information:Was going over to make sure I didn't miss anything and, well...
