| I decided to sell my '66 Volkswagen Beetle. This Beetle is no ordinary Beetle. I installed a 6.0 LS motor in the front of this. It is an LQ4 engine out of a 2000 Chevy Silverado. The engine had approximately 85,000 miles when installed. I have put close to 2,000 miles on it since then. The motor is pretty much stock other than an aftermarket intake and low profile oil pan and custom tune (uses the factory fuel injection). It has power steering and hydro boost power brakes. The car is a manual shift car with a T56 six speed transmission. It has a posi rear. I built the car off of an S-10 frame that I shortened and installed a 4 link suspension. The car has a roll cage. The rear fenders have been widened about 2-1/2 inches. The front is the stock width. This car is a blast to drive and gets a LOT of attention. I built this car to be a real sleeper car. From the outside, it does not look like it has a V8 under the hood. I hate to think how many hundreds of hours I have into building this car. I am selling it to finance my next project car.
