I can assist with financing and transport as needed. There are many classic trucks out there. From the Chevy C10 to the Ford F100, it’s hard to attend a car show or cruise night and not see one of these regulars. But if you are looking for something a little different then this 1966 Dodge D100 might be your answer. With bold lines and 440 power along with lots of recent work, this one makes its own strong statement. Now any long box pickup will stand out with red paint, a black roof, and Centerline wheels. But the D100 goes further starting with that front grille and its oversized headlight bezels. People will definitely see this one coming! The side moldings and badges blend in nicely with the paint scheme, and how can you not like those refrigerator style door handles? Also adding to the character are the factory hood “louvers” and the nice contour line towards the rear of the box. This one also has been given the roll pan treatment in back. The underside is in good condition throughout with a solid frame and mounts. The cab corners are also free of any rot. There are a few rust holes in the bed floor but this has been overlaid with a new sheetmetal panel wearing black bedliner. The fuel tank has been relocated below the bed as well. The body was recently painted and while not of show quality it does look nice from a short distance. The truck also has BF Goodrich tires (235 front, 295 rear) and a dual exhaust. The drivetrain is all Mopar starting with a rebuilt 440 cubic inch engine. What better motor for a Dodge pickup? The block is a 3698830 casting from 1972. It starts easily and has loads of torque. It also has a few upgrades including an Edelbrock intake and carburetor, MSD distributor, and Powermaster alternator. The transmission is a rebuilt Torqueflite 727 automatic which feeds the 8-3/4” rear end through a new driveshaft. Recent suspension work includes new kingpins in front (never buy an old solid axle vehicle without checking these out). The interior is very spacious; I don’t think you’ll find a bigger standard cab from this era. There are dual bucket seats with a matching headliner and door panels, all of which have been redone. There is also a center console and a tall shifter. The dashboard is clean and straightforward while the steering wheel and horn ring are definite throwbacks. Some updates include a Retrosound stereo and a Vintage Air heater/defroster unit. There is also a new wiring harness from American Autowire. A full truck cover is also included. The real joy of classic vehicles is in their character. This D100 has it in spades with a look, sound, and feel that isn’t like other old pickups. You can drive it anywhere and have a good time in the process. And you can have it for a lot less money then so many other old trucks. Vehicle Description All vehicle trades considered including classics and performance.
