CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Car has been in inside storage for many years soon after previous owner purchased it in 2001. It was being professionally restored and something happened that it didn't get completed. I then purchased the car a few years ago to restore myself but my age and health has prevented that. I pulled the spark plugs and put Marvel Mystery Oil in the cylinders and let it sit for quite a long time before I attempted to start it. I also put a half a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil in the engine and started the car. I let it run for at least half a hour with no knocks and I did not notice any smoke. The engine ran quite well. The exhaust system seems to be good as it was not loud. The engine is a 318 two bbl carb automatic transmission with very quiet dual exhaust. I have not checked the quality of the automatic transmission because I feel it needs to have the fluids drained and filter replaced before any attempt to be used. It has new electronic ignition parts and 2 new front tires. The body needs little to no body work and is about ready for paint. The rear quarter panels are great and I do not know if they were replaced or not but there is no rust or damage on them. What cannot be seen that is missing is: windshield, underdash ac / heating ducts, wiper linkage, and back seat. It does need an upper hinge pin on drivers door as it sags a bit. There are a few parts in the trunk that I do not know where they go. It does not need trunk pans or body floor pans. The only through rust holes that I have seen are a few small holes in the drivers floorboard. What you see in the pictures is what you get. You would be hard pressed to find a body in this good of shape as the car came from dry central Texas. I have title in hand. Buyer pays a non-refundable $500 deposit to Ebay within 48 hrs and cash balance to seller within 10 days. No first time bidders and no under 5 bidders please. Located in a suburb of Houston, TX. Please note:Many antique cars need new wiring harnesses, but this car does not as the wiring is in very good shape. I would love to see this car back on the road asap, and that being said, as I am an automobile electrical guru (retired) with over 50 years of experience, I will help you or guide you through any electrical problems you may have free of charge (labor) for a year. If you are local bring it here or if you are out of town I will guide you over the phone as I love auto electrical work. Happy bidding and thank you. Sorry but I do not know how to do Ebay chat, so please do not ask me to contact you through that.
