CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1969 Pontiac GTO Ram Air III Loaded and Documented Matching Numbers! Very Rare 1 of 1,986 made RA3 Automatic 1 of 293 with factory A/C Rare “Espresso Brown” w/ Parchment Bucket Interior PHS documentation included Pontiac 400 (Ram Air III) rated at 366hp VIN # 242379B157277 I have decided to sell my very rare 1969 GTO Ram Air III car, documented with PHS and matching numbers- it still retains the original born with engine, transmission and rear, as well as other components (see info below). The color is the very rare Espresso Brown, which looks amazing with Parchment interior and the white vinyl top. These are the original colors of the car. I am selling a few of my cars…..this one I purchased a several years back and it doesn’t get driven enough, so now its up for sale. These Ram Air III GTO’s are money in the bank, very collectable and increasing in value every day. This car has the same drivetrain as the infamous “JUDGE”. It is loaded with options, including the “N34 Custom Sports” steering wheel. This GTO is the most highly optioned Ram Air III GTO I have seen - with power windows, power locks, power antenna, tilt steering wheel, remote mirror, hood mounted tachometer, cruise control, factory a/c and more. This GTO was ordered by Florus Miriam Niehaus in May of 1969 at Chieftain Pontiac. It was delivered to her in July of 1969. She kept this car and maintained it until 2005 at time she quit driving at the age of 78. This car was Z-Bared (rust preventative) at dealership when new. Mrs. Florus Niehaus only drove the GTO on nice days and it was very well cared for. This GTO runs, drives and handles great. The engine was completely rebuilt at a cost of over $5,000 and no expense was spaired. The car is in exteremely nice condition. Everything works as it should. The paint and body are very very nice, no dings, no chips, no dents no runs, just a very well done restoration. Glass and trim are all very nice as well. This car needs nothing to drive and enyoy and has no rust, original body panels, including quarter panels which is rare (see photos of stamp on upper sill). Floors are original too. Trunnk floor is perfect just like the rest of the trunk…I have full PHS documentation that goes with the car, verifying all the options. Fun ride to jump in on the weekend and go to the local car show. There are over 100 pictures and also see the videos of this car. Please see videos and photos below. I cannot say enough about this car. The car was restored with great attention to detail, with very nice paint, nice gaps. All the glass is nice, chrome is excellent, door jambs nice and clean. The paint on the car shines beautifully, better than the pictures show. All the lights work, horn, brake lights, turn signals, interior light, wipers, etc. Even the key buzzer still works! The power antenna works but the power locks do not and the original clock does not work. The interior looks amazing and was very well done, the carpet is high quality as well. Comes with full spare and jacking equipment in the trunk too. This is a rare opportunity to own an iconic ‘real deal’ 1969 GTO Ram Air III - not a clone. These true matching number documented cars are getting harder to find in this kind of condition and are quite rare. If you do find one the price will be much higher than my reserve. This GTO is a collector grade vehicle that will earn you money the longer you keep it (more than in a savings account). The values for these original matching numbered cars are going nowhere but up. The only reason I am selling this car from my private collection is I have several cars and I need to ‘thin the herd’ a bit. If you need your wife’s, girlfriend’s or mother’s permission to bid, get that before you place a bid. If you pay with a personal check or cashiers check or bank check, according to my bank, the check must clear, so please give that time before you pick up the vehicle. Feel free to have the car inspected or come see it yourself. Bid early and message me for any questions and I can call you back. Check my feeback as a seller! Good luck….
