I have owned this Bronco for the last 3 years, but am selling it to move on to other projects. It received a full frame off restoration about 10 years ago. This was a Quality ‘Frame-Off’ Restoration with the aim to make thisBronco run & drive just as good as it looks. If you are looking for a cleanBronco that is ready to be enjoyed, take a good look at this one! The doors on thisBronco are mounted on quick release hinges and can be removed by simplyreleasing the door straps and lifting up the door. Putting them back on is justas easy. Also included with this Bronco is a set of ‘Roadster’ door inserts and‘Soft Doors’. These are expensive pieces that just add to the fun ownershipexperience. Inside the interior is nice. The front seat is a modern split bench set up with plenty ofadjustment for all drivers. 3 point seat belts help keep the front seatpassengers comfortably in place. The dash has a full complement of customAutometer Gauges keeping track of the engine & transmission. A custom glovebox from Tuffy gives you a lockable compartment to store your valuables whenthe top & doors are off. The floors have been completely bed-lined inmatching Cardinal Red. The roll cage is a high end ‘Family Cage’. This unitprovides roll over protection for all passengers as well as extra protectionfor a rear end collision. The cage was paint matched in Graphite to match thebumpers and grill. Overall this is a nice, well appointed and clean interiorthat will require very little maintenance to enjoy year round. Under the hood, the302 has been fitted with an Edelbrock Performer IntakeManifold, Holley Sniper fuel injection, Electronic Ignition and Performance Exhaust. Itmakes significantly more power than the 200 horsepower it came stock with. Thecooling system has been heavily upgraded with a HUGE Aluminum Radiator and HighOutput Electric Fan. This system is large enough to keep this Bronco cool inthe hottest of summers. The belt system has been converted to a late model 302serpentine system to reliably deal with the extra load from the power steering/hydro boost system. This Bronco has beenupgraded to Power Steering AND Hydro-Boost Power Disc Brakes. The powersteering is a must have, especially with the larger tires. The Hydro-Boostbraking system is a modern system that provides linear braking. This system hasa single pedal effort. Simply push farther, not harder, and the brakes clampdown stronger. This is HUGE for drivers not familiar with old school cars. The Bronco has disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. This Bronco has 4”of total lift in order to accommodate the 34” Toyo AT II Tires. The systemconsists of a 2” suspension lift and a 2” body lift. A front sway bar was added for crisphandling in corners, an expensive option you will appreciate. The front axle hasbeen upgraded with a Dana 44 unit that is much more durable than the Dana 30 itcame with stock. The Dana 44’s will handle larger tires and use a modern balljoint for smoother steering. Out back is the heavy duty Ford 9” differential. The Dana 20 transfercase has been upgraded with a twin stick conversion. This allows easy shiftinginto 4 wheel drive and the ability to lock in each axle independently if youwant. The wiring on thisBronco was also upgraded with modern fuses and relays. The system easilyhandles the high output headlights, heavy duty cooling fan, modern gauges, etc. There is also extra capacity for more add-ons like air conditioning, auxiliarylighting and more. The headlights are amodern LED Projector Beam set up from Tom’s Broncos. These are the sametechnology used on high end modern cars. The beam is brighter and flatter sovisibility is LEAGUES beyond the factory lights. If you plan to drive at night, these are a MUST HAVE OPTION! The wheels are FuelTrophy 17”. They offer a rugged look with simulated bead locks so theyare still street legal. The tires are ToyoAT II’s in 285 75 17. They measure out to 33.9” tall and 11” wide so they fitnicely in the wheel well. These are high end expensive tires that have a 10-PlySidewall for toughness, squared side walls for great driving characteristics. The top is a soft top from Tom’s Broncos. It is in good shape, but the zipper on the back window is broken. It can either be replaced by an upholster or a new top can be ordered for around $600. I never fixed or replaced it because the Bronco is only driven on nice days, so the top is not needed. If the Bronco sells for the buy it now price I will buy a new soft top and have it installed. Aside from the top the only other imperfections are cosmetic and are in the last few pictures. These items include a couple of cracks in the paint on the passenger side rear quarter panel, a couple of scrapes on the front bumper, the spray in bed liner has cracked on the seam in the passengers side floor board, there are a few chips on the driver side rocker panel and the passengers side window tint has a scratch in it where the window came off the track once. This Bronco is priced to move, and wouldn't take much to make it a $75,000 Bronco. As far as I know everything on the Bronco is mechanically sound. It starts up every time and runs well. It is an old truck, and doesn't ride like a Cadillac, but it can be comfortably driven at 60 miles an hour. I also have the vehicle listed locally, so it may be taken down if it sells prior to the auction ending. The Bronc does not have a warranty, and shipping is up to the winning bidder to arrange. Thanks for looking, and happy bidding! |
