1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Post Sedan Restro Rod. Complete frame off rebuild, Texas car that had very little rust at rebuild. Not a show car, but a very good and reliable driver. However, it does show well and has won a couple trophies, Lots of good comments and thumbs up from the public. Paint and trim is an 8 out of 10 and body gaps are average and presentable. 327 SBC with mild cam, roller rockers and Edelbrock ProFlow 4 fuel injection. Vintage Air AC and front runner system with AC compressor, power streering, small alternator and serpintine belt drive. Tremic 5 speed tranny, McLeod hydraulic clutch, RAM clutch and pressure plate, aluminum drive shaft, narrowed Ford 8.8 rear end with 4.11 posi track. QA1 Motor Sports rear traction bars, pocketed into frame rear leaf springs, 4 wheel disc brakes, tubular front A arms, gas shocks, front and rear QA1 sway bars (none of that common tri five body roll going around corners), quick ratio power steering box. Runs very cool, even in Texas summer heat - aluminum radiator and electeric fan. New gas tank with internal high pressure electric fuel pump, Small high torque starter motor, Flow Master mufflers, electronically controled Zoomie exhaust cut outs, billet hood and deck lid hindges, Classic Industries gages in stock bezel, hidden battery cut out switch (thieves!), Optima gel battery relocated to the trunk and manual emergency battery cut out switch. P215/60 R15 Michelin FT tires on front and P275/60 BF Goodrich Radial TA R15 tires on rear. All new glass, rubber seals and window felts. Wing window division bar felts and rubbers replaced, all window regulators rebuilt, new door hindges latches and locks. All interior garnish moldings have been chrome plated and interior is black leather (front) and black nagahide (rear) with black velor inserts. Front seat is a Glide Industries unit built for tri five chevys. I built this car as a keeper, buit life happens and now it needs a new home. Just over 2000 miles since finished so the bugs are pretty much all worked out and it is ready for the road. You would really have to look hard to find another in better condition.
