Relisting this Car due to Non-Payment of the last listing. Please Ask Any Questions before bidding. This will be the last time I list the Car, here is your chance at an Original 409 Car.Back Story:This is a One family owned Car that my Grandmother drove when I was in elementary school, the car was parked throughout my early teens and sat in there open car garage all through High School. In the mid 80's she gave the car to my Dad and it remained in there garage thru her passing and into the early 90's. Fast forward to 1994, married with two young sons, I needed access to the garage and decided to move the car. Upon checking the oil and throwing the battery into it, it fired and I drove the car to a spot in the front yard on the farm, not realizing it's value at that time. In the late 90's, older cars became a passion and now realized the value of car, it took me 20 years to talk my Dad into giving me the car, My intent was to fully restore the car and bring her back to life. I got the car four years ago and stored it in my garage anticipating and planning the restoration, last year I had an opportunity to move to Alaska, a life long dream, and did just that, the challenge, I move to an island with 13 miles of paved roads. After many sleepless nights, I decided to put the car up for sale, to possibly find a buyer who knows it's value and appreciates its originality. I'd rather see someone acquire the car and restore it, than leave it in storage and, "Get to it Some Day".The Car:As you can see, this car needs to be fully restored, it's all original, it's 1964 Chevy Impala SS 409 V8 340HP 4 barrel car with the 2 Speed Power glide. It does have power steering, white interior, the floor was a teal color. It does have a rust thru on the drivers side rear quarter, and a broken blinker light on the front passenger side. I removed the interior carpet to expose the floor, in which are all solid. I also gave the engine a complete tune up, Oil Change, Filter, plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, drained antifreeze and flushed the radiator. My thought process was to see if the car would start after sitting for the last 26 years. I replaced the points and condenser did get the car to fire and run, I have not pursued it any further wanting to keep the car in as original shape as possible. I have a picture of the registration and vin plate, also I can email any additional pictures that you might want. The car has had a VIN inspection and has a Clear Colorado Title. I will be placing a reserve on the car, once the reserve has been met the transition must be complete within 7 Days of the auctions end. The Buyer is responsible for all Shipping Costs and Pick-Up. I will assist when possible.I will accept PayPal for the deposit ONLY. The balance of Cash or Certified Check must be received within the 7 days of the auctions ending.______________________________________________________________________________________The Decoding of the Cowl Plate, in which I have a picture ofIt decoded and was built in first week of May ’64(05A) at the St Louis, MO plant (SL).
