| 1970 MG MGB GT 1.8l 4 cyl 4 speed manual transmissionEngine / transmission: fresh oil change, filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, heater valve, rebuilt Weber 32/36, choke cable, throttle cable, heater valve cable, coolant change, previous owner said " new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing" cannot confirm, evidence engine - transmission removal. Great pedal, no chattering, noise. New clutch slave cyl., clutch master cyl. No leaks.Electrical: New battery, battery boxes, cover seal, front turn signals, back lights serviced, new brake switch, light switch, brake light warning switch ( not installed), rebuilt emergency flasher switch, rebuilt license plate lights ( missing one globe, retaining spring), repaired wiring gas tank sender, ground, fuel pump wiring. DASH LIGHTS INOPERATIVE. HORN INOPERATIVE, new fuel sender, gauge sometimes inoperative. Haven't got to it yet. MG ELECTRICAL IS PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD, RELATIVELY EASY TO TROUBLESHOOT. Seriously.Fuel system: new tank, line to pump, points on pump, timing, rubber fuel line, filter, vacuum lines as reqd.Brakes good, solid pedal. PARKING BRAKE INOPERATIVETires: new (250 miles), rims reconditioned, new caps, trim rings (one ring is incorrect)Stainless steel exhaust, all new hangersBody very good for 50, some blisteringUnderbody: drivers side floor pan some smaller areas repaired, rust repaired at footwell ( stainless patch, good for some time. Brace under seat rusted but solid. Passenger side solid.Interior: new seat tracks, cushions worn, but, tolerable, headliner good, needs redying to look uniform, some of panels have been prepped for recolor ( paint overspray), all other cockpit panels good, drivers door panel needs replace, crack dash top, panels under dash missing, radio delete, console good, NO CARPETRUST IN ENGINE BAY AREA in pedal area, left inner dash area, this is not uncommon. Leave it alone, or, wait until repaint. Its a good looking car that has been sufficently protected for several years.
