CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Up for sale is my 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. This is the gran coupe model and with the highest engine option available for that model. For those that aren’t familiar with the gran coupe, it’s basically the luxury version of the Barracuda/ ‘cuda with all the extra bells and whistles (more options) and same power. Factory N code (383-4 barrel) same as a 'cuda, but gran coupes are all labeled as Barracuda. Only 732 gran coupes were made in automatic with a 383-4 barrel. Rust free, California car all it’s life. Two engines and transmissions. Original numbers matching engine and trans and a rebuilt engine and trans. In the car currently is a 384-4 barrel engine that has been professionally rebuilt. Transmission is also rebuilt. Just got it installed and running a couple weeks ago and been working on the timing my days off (could use a minor adjustment). I'd say less than 15 miles on the rebuilt drive-train. Here is what was put into the 383:This Barracuda is for the most part fully restored. The interior has all been redone factory correct, radiator redone, etc. I have the rocker panel moldings restored and ready to install. As well as NOS clips for it (very difficult to find). Also have the restored 8 trak radio which includes a cassette adapter and new interior rear window trim and the hood scoops. Fan is there but needs fan clutch. It needs a paint correction because when the previous owner had the car painted they did the body and doors/fenders/hood separately so the paint doesn’t match as you can see in the pictures. Doors, fenders, hood, trunk lid were done in single stage paint and body was done in base coat-clear coat paint. But I have been told by different paint people it is an easy correction since the body and all is already done just need the exterior color corrected. Also needs the headliner fiberboard since it’s different on a gran coupe for it to hold the overhead console. I have the new material from legendary Auto interiors that goes on the fiberboard. Overhead console is included as well and complete down to the console dome light and wiring. As you can see in the pictures the car was completely stripped down to a bare shell and then restored from the ground up. Everything was fully gone through. New 2.5 inch Magnaflow exhaust installed. Car runs and drives. Automatic 727 transmission, 8 3/4 rear end with sure grip (positraction/suregrip) 3.91 gear ratio. Comes with new tires and restored rallye wheels. Tires are front (195/70/14) rear are (235/60/14). Car will come with both the 1967 rebuilt engine and trans and the original numbers matching engine and trans which did run when removed and 72,759 original miles. If you do not want the rebuilt ones we can work something out. This car is loaded with options as you can see in the fender tag. Comes with disc brakes, overhead console, rallye gauges, bucket seats, dual exhaust and much more. Here is the fender tag breakdown:Rust Free California car. Only had trunk and Dutchmen panel replaced. I do also have the painted flat hood if the buyer wants it. Clean California title in my name. I have owned it for about 2 1/2 years now. I can assist with loading for transportation and work with the buyer on any issues with transport and keep stored on my property while your transport comes. Payment must be made in full before car leaves my possession and all funds cleared in the bank for 2-3 business days. Feel free to contact me with any questions at 818.271.0467I do have a video of the car starting/running and another of it driving just contact me and ill send it over.
