CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
About this vehicle This 1971 Plymouth Barracuda is a restomod with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for car shows. Seller's Notes just a note... I built this car to suit me with the “I’m never going to sell it” thought process. I guess you could say it’s my dream car. I’ve owned several Mopars in my life but none near this caliber. To me it’s the holy grail of muscle cars. Although I’ve done a ton of work to it, things have come up and I need to sell. I have tried to represent the car as best I can. If you need additional pictures just call or email. This car comes with no warranty or guarantee. I urge you to have it inspected before you bid. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks Exterior 1971 Barracuda. This car is originally from California. I purchased about six years ago from a gentleman in Las Vegas. It was originally a B5 blue, 318 automatic w/console, base barracuda. The previous owner had a 71 340 put in to replace the original motor. Engine runs really strong and smooth. Engine has a solid lifter .509 Mopar Performance Purple Shaft cam. It has a 8.75 sure-grip rear-end with 3.91 gears. When I got it, I put in power steering and swapped out the 727 auto for a period correct 4 speed with the Hurst pistol grip shifter. I also replaced the Holley carb with a Edelbrock AVS 650. It’s their version of a double pumper...mechanical secondaries. MSD electronic ignition, TTi header into 3” pipes into Dynamax VT mufflers. Sounds fantastic! Then I had an entire new interior put in from Legendary Interiors. Carpet to headliner. All the interior white metal trim pieces that go around all the windows have been powder coated the correct color. I also replaced the dash pad as well. The next thing I did was have it painted black. The paint job is about 4 years old and is almost perfect as you can see from the photos. All the electrics work..lights, blinkers, gauges, dome light, windshield wipers, stereo, etc...everything! The wheels are 17” Mopar rallye reproductions from Year One. Tires are Nitto NT450s...255/50/17s front and back. The only thing the car needs is the heater box housing rebuilt and reinstalled. I took it out when I was replacing the dash and never put it back. Everything is sealed up so no drafts from the engine compartment. Passenger in the front seat will have lots of leg room because of it...lol. There is a company up in Wisconsin that rebuilds them. I think they charge $750 or so. This is absolutely a beautiful car. I take it to car events and there is always a crowd around it the whole time. These pictures do not do it justice. It’s stunning. The reserve I have on it is pretty much what I have in it. There’s no way you could build one anywhere near this for the price now. You can’t even find decent 71s for under 50k. And if you do you’ll have to put at least 40k in it to get to this quality. The car is located in Austin, TXAnyway that’s the story. If you have any questions feel free to call or email/Ebay message.
