1956 Pontiac Chieftain Model 860 2dr sedan. Original 316 Strato-Streak V8 with a 4spd Hydromatic transmission. The car has the optional 4 barrel carb. It has a coat of primer on it, was originally two-tone red and cream colored with a black and gray interior. The interior trim has been rattle canned red. Not a very good job, looks better in the pics than it does in person. Appears to have all original sheet metal other than the left front fender. It does have some filler on the drivers side quarter panel. Overall pretty solid for a 56. I drive it locally to the coffee shop and such but it will require some work to be a daily. The headlights, tail lights, brake lights, and dash lights work. The horn, turn signals, heater, wipers, and speedometer don't work. Brakes need work. It does not have headliner but it does have all the bows. Engine runs good and transmission shifts through all gears. I have to many projects, this one needs to go. |
