1970 Chevelle SS LS 5 454 Number Matching Engine I have a project car for sale. I loan a friend some money to help them get out of debt and they never paid me back. Since I acquired the car, I have done some serious work to get it back on the road. I own a business; have a family and all the kids are in sports. I just do not have the time to put it back together. I know there is someone out there that can. I have a clear title in my name. I don’t even want to think about how much I have in it. So, I will describe the car best I can. You can call me with questions and I can most likely answer your question or I can get the answer for you. The first thing I did was send the engine out to be rebuilt. It is rebuilt and dynode. That was a two year process. As I write this, the engine is still at the dyno shop. I have been waiting on the engine. It has been built close to specs as possible. The broach marks are still there and the numbers were not stamped on! I sent the carb out and had it re-plated and rebuilt. The original distributor was re furbished too. The transmission was missing, so there is a “new” M22. I have picked up a new bell housing, center force clutch, pressure plate and bolts to put it back together. A little upgrade here. I wanted a system that doesn’t take your knee out with all the stop and go driving. The rear end has been powder coated, and rebuilt. It is numbers matching. The frame has been redone. It isn’t the original frame. The original frame had to much rust damage. This frame has been powder coated. The suspension is all new and gas and brake lines are run on it. I re-bodied the old body. It was just to far done. I picked up a Chevelle in Denver. It was very clean. Put it on the rotisserie and than I noticed a dent in the toe board. So, I welded in a new toe board. I also put in the numbers for the two hidden vins. Look at the picture, I installed the bucket seat brackets and put the shifter hole in it too. The passenger rear quarter has slight damage on it. I pulled it out, and have been on the fence about it being nice enough. I know I can do body work on it, but it would be considerable. So, I have contemplated about sectioning in a small piece to remove the damage. New owner can figure that out. The body was sand blasted and primed. It isn’t done. Just sealed from the sandblaster’s. There are two rust free doors, I have oem hood, and two fenders. There are 4 rims for the car, two bucket seats, back seat, and instrument cluster, couple sets of glass and boxes of stuff. There is lots of excellent chrome for it. Pretty much everything is there. Guessing, I would say it is 98% complete. Not everything is new. My thoughts were, plan A see what you have and use it. If not, plan B get it new. I will put the car on a body dolly. The rotisserie stays. It is a $3,500 rotisserie. I am taking it in the shorts on the car. Just a recap of what is going on: Rebuilt and dynode numbers matching engine New M22 transmission with parts Rebuilt numbers matching 12 bolt posi New frame rebuilt with suspension brakes and lines Partial Build Sheet Rust free body Rust free doors, new fenders, and new hood. GM STUFF! Lots of parts from donor car and original car. I have a cell phone and can take calls. I also have face time, so I can video you. This is pretty serious stuff to me. I got this for collateral and am upside down on the whole deal. Hopefully, I can find a person that will enjoy the car. Moving the car and parts will be a project. I have storage and will work with the wining bidder. If a schedule is needed to be made to move the car, I understand. Tim Seven Six Three,,,,Two four five,,,,,Six Five zero Seven….. All bids are to buy. A $200 deposit is required from the winning bidder. All deposits are non refundable. I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction if the reserve isn't met. |
