Up for auction is a driver quality survivor 1966 Pontiac GTO. With just a little over 35k original miles! This GTO sold new out of KNAFEL PONTIAC IN AKRON OHIO and has been in the area it's whole life. The car is a very nice driver quality car. This GTO runs and drives straight down the road and goes through all the gears smooth in its original Muncie M20 wide ratio transmission. This car was recently purchased from a gentleman that owned it since 1971. This is the first time this car has been for sale in 49 years. This car is PHS documented and is an original 389 tri power 4 speed car with a 3:55 posi. This car retains all of it's original numbers matching motor transmission and rear-end and tri-power set up. This car fires right up and drivers and steers very nice. The paint on the car was done in 1974 and has held up quite nicely. This car is very dependable and rides nicely down the road. Everything on the car works including the emergency brake and all of the lights including dash lights and interior lights. The mileage on the car appears to be correct at 35,000 and some change, the speedometer still works in the car and when the previous owner bought it in 1971 the car had about roughly 33,800. The previous owner only put about 1300 miles on this car in the last 50 years. This is a true unrestored survivor 66 Pontiac GTO numbers matching 389 tri-power 360 horse Muncie m20 wide ratio 4 speed 355 posi car that sold new out of an awesome Pontiac dealership since KNAFEL pontiac was a factory sponsored dealership by GM Pontiac motor division. The car is true and speaks for itself ....anyone who is serious about seeing the car in person is more then welcome to come look at it. I am selling this vehicle for a friend and I can get you in contact with him to come inspect the car. |
