CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1976 Chevrolet G 10 4X4 Tequila Van Engine Size 5.7 Liter V8 Transmission Type 3 Speed Automatic Body Style Van Exterior Color Blue Interior Color - Miles 48,917 VIN CGV156U151065 Stock 1065 Description 1976 Chevrolet G10 4X4 "Tequila Van" built by Gas Monkey Garage on the hit TV show Fast N' Loud showing 48,917 miles now offered with a Buy It Now or Best Offer price!"Cheap Ain't Bad Ass & Bad Ass Ain't Cheap! One of our more iconic builds on Fast N' Loud has to be the "Tequila Van" which has served as our rolling billboard for Gas Monkey Tequila. While it's been a highly successful promotional tool for the brand (possibly too successful as we're sold out most everywhere), it's now time to offer it to someone else for another new adventure.Starting with a really clean, solid, original 1976 G 10 Van that had only a little more than 48,000 miles on it which we found here in Texas as seen on the show. The timing was right as we were launching my new "Gas Monkey Tequila" and I wanted an effective way to get the word out and what better way than with a Kick Ass 4X4 Party Van !A Chevy K 10 donor was found and the drivetrain complete with the Fuel Injected 5.7 V8, Automatic Transmission, 4X4 Transfer Case & Axles were removed and the transformation begun. New bushings, bearings & hardware were installed and the fabrication to create a one of a kind Van was underway. New components including Rancho Shocks & 315/75 R16 Pro-Comp X-Treme A/T's mounted on custom Powder Coated Steel Rims. A mild lift to achieve an aggressive stance and the look was right.Attention turned to the interior to create a truly unique environment that was worthy of a King making this van your Castle!Reclaimed barn wood planks were arranged along with period correct living room furnishings from the 70's to make a truly unique & cozy sitting area perfect for enjoying the fruits of your labor (and a sip of Tequila!). There's even a genuine Bear Skin Rug & a Rotary Dial Phone! The attention now focused on the exterior. To set this creation apart a custom roof rack was installed that is both functional & stylish. Holding 8X KC Daylighter Off Road lights to show you the way along with Vintage Wooden Crates and a roof top spare tire carrier accessed from the rear mounted ladder. The original paint was in phenomenal condition so it was polished and buffed and a custom rear bumper was crafted with an integrated receiver hitch & powder coated along with the front bumper and grill. Finally, a Custom wrap to highlight Gas Monkey Tequila was applied and as they say, the rest is history! Don't miss this opportunity to own this piece of Gas Monkey History. While this kick ass 1976 Chevy G10 4X4 Van does run and drive, it has been on static display here at the World Famous Gas Monkey Garage World Head Quarters and it will need to be completely inspected and serviced before any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability (due to our filming schedule we cannot perform any additional work on this van or build it for you). SOLD AS IS/WHERE IS. The winning bidder may have the option of coming to the shop to pick up the van.If you're looking for an iconic Gas Monkey build from Fast N' Loud, you won't find a better example that's priced to sell! This would be perfect for Cruise Night, Advertising and Promotional use or as a kick ass addition to your collection, you decide!Clear Title in hand, please check with your freight forwarder for a quote from Dallas TX 75229, we sell Internationally as well as locally and will end the auction when it sells. Photos About Us “I’ve been obsessed with cars since… I was born.” Richard Rawlings had a car by age fourteen, and had gone through nearly twenty cars by the time he was out of high school. His father worked three jobs his whole life—two to make ends meet for the family, and one to buy toys. Neither a mechanic nor a fabricator, his father took pride in his car collection. Needless to say, this stayed with Richard. Rawlings was always working, and always chasing pipe dreams. By twenty-one, he’d been a cop, a fireman, and a medic. But he wanted more. After a rough stint of sleeping on his sister’s couch, he got his act together and entered the world of trading sales. Here he solidified his business savvy, and went on to build an advertising and printing firm from the ground up. The company grew to become a “juggernaut” in the Dallas area. A mere four years later, the company sold, and with that money Gas Monkey Garage was born. Aaron Kaufman worked at a shop Rawlings frequented, and loved the stuff Rawlings brought in for him. Kaufman always went above and beyond for him. When Gas Monkey opened, Rawlings called him up and asked if he wanted to work for him. The premise was simple: Rawlings wanted the fastest, most expensive, most badass hot rod shop to be found, with apparel and a show on Discovery to boot. Kaufman thought he was crazy, but signed on anyway. Eight years later, the shop is all that and more. They owe their success to a strict business model. They don’t buy parts—only whole models without too much rust. Owing to his business background, Rawlings has a handle on the market, and knows the price he ought to pay. In ninety days or less, the job will be done, whether they start with a decent model or a carcass. Then it’s onto the next job without hesitation. If a finished car sits too long, Rawlings will sell it at a loss. He’s interested in a killer operation, not a stockpile. Their roles within the shop are clear. Rawlings is first and foremost an entrepreneur. He wants to sell a style, push a brand, and make sure Gas Monkey Garage never stops growing. Kaufman runs the shop, armed with his mastery of mechanics, electrics, and fabrication. The dynamic is vital, the common ground being their mutual love of classic cars. Rawlings has always been an old soul when it comes to cars, and his style has brought in a steady flow of clientele who trust his no-B.S. methods. “Anyone can go out and buy a Ferrari.” Rawlings’ dream car? “A 1932 Ford Roadster—the holy grail of hot rods.” Warranty Information This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied.
