The Oldsmobile Holiday SportSedan was the top-of-the-line model for 1960. Fins were gone and GM had a whole new look for the decade. This car was undergoing a full restoration when the previous owner passed away 5 years ago. Since then the car sat in dry storage until recently being liberated. Unfortunately, a few trim pieces have gone missing including the driver's door mirror, antenna, front passenger kick-panel, air cleaner and the Ninety-Eight lettering on the rear fenders. The car features Power brakes, Power Steering, Power windows and Power seats. The original 394 v8 starts up without any issues and runs like a top. All gears shift as they should. All lights including the interior courtesy lights work. The interior is original and is showing typical wear for being 60 years old. All the door panels are in very good original condition. The dashpad is cracked and can easily be replaced. The tires are old and definitely need to be replaced. They're old bias-plys and although they have lots of tread they're starting to crack from age. The underbody is very clean with no rust. Floors and frame are rock solid with no soft spots whatsoever. The dual-exhaust system is new from front to back. The massive trunk is in great shape with no rust. The car features aftermarket gauges for Water temperature, Voltage, Oil pressure and Vacuum pressure. All of them work.Things that don't work? rear drivers window (switch), the power seats, the wipers work on occasion if you fiddle with the switch. There is also a small crack in the bottom of the driver's window that looks like it's been there forever...With a new set of tires you could drive the car as is or go that extra mile and get the seats re-done...that's up to the next owner...I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE. |
