I can assist with financing and transport as needed. When you see an old truck like this one you can understand why they have become so popular. This 1965 Chevrolet C10 Custom Cab has a truly classic look with loads of character. But combine this with a reliable drivetrain, new suspension parts, modern wheels/tires, and cold air conditioning and it becomes more than just a great looking pickup. This truck represents the first generation C/K series that ran from 1960-1966. This was a significant step in the evolution of pickup design with features like a drop-center ladder frame (giving a lower cab height) and independent front suspension. It was more car-like than ever and set a precedent that continues to this day. This solid example hails from Texas and appears to have a single repaint in its original two-tone combination of fawn (beige) and white. It’s a very attractive truck with great factory accents that dress things up nicely without looking gaudy. The wooden bed shows an older finish but is still in great shape; you won’t be afraid to haul something in this one. There are also 6-spoke 16 chrome wheels for a little extra pop, along with Toyo Open Country tires (255/70R16 all around). The engine has been replaced with a 350 cubic inch V8. This is about as reliable as it gets. There are a few basic upgrades such as an aluminum intake manifold, Quadrajetcarburetor, HEI distributor, and headers with a dual exhaust. There is also a large aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The transmission is a Powerglide automatic – another very reliable piece. There are many new suspension parts including control arms, springs, shocks, Panhard bar, and sway bars. This truck also has power steering and power brakes so anyone can drive it. The interior is a very nice complement to the exterior. It features a recovered two-tone bench seat that is quite comfortable. The cab has a few deviations from stock such as the aftermarket oil / temp / volt gauges and tachometer. There is also an aftermarket sound system. And of course there is the underdash R134a air conditioning that blows cold (a necessity in Texas, along with a few other areas). All lights work properly as do the horn, windshield wipers, and parking brake. This really is a fun pickup and a nice example of the first generation C10. Not only does it look sharp, but you can drive it anywhere and have a good time doing it. It all makes you understand why old trucks continue to appreciate.
