T-buckets are always the essence of a hot rod. They have big engines, big tires, and a small body to keep weight to a bare minimum. We have a remarkable 1914 Ford T-Bucket here at Skyway Classics that is overpowering with its 406 Ford FE V8 Engine that is paired with automatic transmission, GM 671 Blower, big and little tires, and of course that Model T body. Mechanical The engine is a 406 cubic inch 406 Ford FE V8 topped by an old-school style GM 6-71 supercharger on an Offenhauser intake manifold with 2 opposed Holley carburetor dual quads up top. It has chrome open element air cleaners, finned valve covers, roadster polished side-mount headers designed to get attention by sight and sound, a custom radiator stuffed inside the Model T frame and is backed by a quick-shifting 3-speed automatic feeding a chrome rear end with custom suspension, Corvette Independent Rear Axle, and disc brakes. You can only put a certain type of rolling stock on a T-bucket and that is skinnies up front and massive meats out back, and that is what ours has on the slotted mag wheels all the way around. Interior The Bucket T has a beautiful tan upholstered interior with a full array of gauges in the wood dash. The seats are nicely done, carpet is nice as are the door panels, The upright steering column has a three-spoke wood steering wheel, it has a removeable custom tan top, great windshield and sides, a rear gas tank, and many more custom-made parts. Exterior The paint is in a nice deep dark red that accent the great lines of this T-bucket. Everything on this car has the right old school look of an iconic T-bucket and is set off by the traditional Model T radiator shell in chrome, and all the chrome on the suspension, headlights, front fenders, and taillights only makes it look better. Conclusion The 1914 Ford T-Bucket we have here at Skyway Classics is truly one of the best driving and most powerful we have ever seen and T-buckets are as popular today as they ever were. Its combination of outrageous looks and potent performance makes it the T-bucket of your dreams so come see, drive, and hear it today. So give us a call at 941-254-6608.
