I can assist with financing and transport as needed. This 1939 Ford Deluxe Tudor Sedan is the product of a complete 5-year frame-off restoration completed in 2007. It is a quality car throughout and much nicer than Ford produced 80 years ago. With its attractive silver paint, gorgeous custom interior, and performance Flathead engine it will make a hot rod lover out of anyone. This Ford spent its early years in South Carolina and later made its way to Georgia. In 2002 it was taken completely apart and rebuilt into the vehicle that you now see. The work was well documented and includes one binder full of photos and another full of receipts. The body was separated from the frame and any bad metal was replaced. The body was painted in a 2002 color called Galaxie Silver Metallic. Note the original factory “VIN” stamp is present and legible on the left frame rail, and there is a matching 1939 Ford title. The engine is as nice a Flathead as you’ll find! This one is from a 1953 Mercury and was built by Joe Smith Early Ford and Hot Rod Parts. The block received a 0.125” overbore (not unusual for a Flathead) and a 4.125” stroker camshaft, bumping displacement from 255ci to 284ci. The forged pistons are from Ross Racing while the camshaft is from Schneider with 264 degrees of duration. There are Offenhauser finned aluminum heads along with an Offenhauser dual carb intake topped by a pair of Ford 8BA carburetors. I’ve never heard a Flathead sound like this one, nor have I seen one with such robust oil pressure. The engine feeds a rebuilt 3-speed Toploader and a 3.73 original style rear end. All other mechanical parts were rebuilt or replaced. The car retains an original style suspension but with a drop front axle and telescoping shock absorbers. The front brakes were converted to discs for better stopping. The 15” wheels were painted red to give the car some pop, and the tires are P195/60R15 in front and P235/70R15 in back. The custom interior was professionally done using parts from LeBaron Bonney. It not only looks fantastic but is quite comfortable too. I especially like the beautiful Ford steering wheel. A set of gauges was added under the dash and a conventional ignition switch was installed along with a “hidden” removable cutoff switch for security. The car also has front seat belts and turn signals. The vacuum wipers, horn, and parking brake are also present and functional. This Ford was a very complete build that could not be duplicated for anywhere near the asking price. It has a great look and is equally fun to drive, and that built Flathead will always stir up some conversation. If you are considering a pre-war hot rod then this one should definitely be on your list. Vehicle Description All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.
