• Two tops• Frame-off restoration on a no hit body• Celebrity owned for 15 years by Lou Gramm former lead singer of Foreigner• 4-speed transmission• Working Wonderbar radio (retrofitted with am/fm cassette, original Wonderbar radio conveys) Vehicle formerly owned by powerhouse singer/songwriter Lou Gramm, best known as the lead vocalist and co-writer with the multi-platinum-selling band Foreigner. A successful solo artist in his own right, Lou is also a self-described lifelong muscle car fanatic whose favorite summer pastime is cruising to the local restaurant parking lot and sharing a social evening with other like-minded owners. I am very pleased to offer this 1962 Corvette convertible that has been one of Mr. Gramm’s favorite street machines for over fifteen years. Finished in Tuxedo Black with Black top and interior, it is the show-stopping result of a frame-off restoration on a clean no-hit example. At first glance the car appears to be completely stock, with very tasteful stock wheels and hubcaps, but lifting the hood reveals the presence of another kind of powerhouse, a 350 cubic inch 290 hp, 4-bolt main with 550 double pumper Holley chrome dress-up kit, well-suited to the C2 Vette, especially when backed with it's 4-speed manual transmission. The chromed open-element air cleaner and ceramicoat headers are especially nice finishing touches in the well detailed engine compartment.A fine example of a mild Resto-mod treatment on a solid original, this immaculate ’62 Corvette includes a classic Wonderbar radio and comes with both soft and hard tops. I have owned the car for eight years. This car drives and stops great and looks great -- all of the turn signals/lights are in working condition. It looks as good underneath as it does on top. It had an all-new frame, a-arms, tie rods and suspension all new with this restoration. The clutch feels good and it shifts perfect. A couple of modifications made to the car is the 1960's grill which the teeth can be removed to turn back into the 1962 grill (I was partial to the 60's look). I also had the am/fm cassette radio installed (exact fit) for Bluetooth convenience. I can even throw in a Foreigner tape if you are the lucky buyer!!Highlights:- Celebrity owned for 15+ years by Lou Gramm, former lead singer of Foreigner - 4-speed transmission - Frame-off restoration on a no hit body - Soft and hard tops included - Wonderbar radio conveys** If Buyer selects Buy It Now and does not follow through with their purchase, the Buyer is responsible for the $1,000 fee.** |
