CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER | |
---|---|
This is a 326 V8 Parts car with a manual transmission. The guy I bought it from years ago told me it was a 4 speed. I have never tried to start it or even turn it over. I don't remember if I have a set of keys for it or not. There are lots of usable parts that would be helpful in restoring a Lemans or Tempest and converting a 4 cylinder car to a V8 car. Bill of sale only - no title for this parts car. Someone previously sent me a message thru eBay saying that the V8 version of these cars came with 3 speeds and the 4 cylinder models came with 4 speeds. He also said you can tell the difference between the 3 speed and the 4 speed by the location of the cover. He said the 3 speed cover is on top and the 4 speed cover is on the side. I looked under the car and confirmed that the cover is on the side so based on the info he provided this would be a 4 speed and I can only assume that someone swapped it in if it is true that these cars only came with 3 speeds (when equipped with a V8 and a manual trans). While under the car I noticed that the cover is off of the trans and the gears are rusty. The carburetor is just sitting on the intake which is how it was when I bought it. I don't even think it's the right bolt pattern.Listing Arrangements:A $250 deposit via PayPal is required within 24 hours and full payment by wire transfer is required within 3 days unless other arrangements are made in advance.
