| Pulling away in this car is like stepping back in time! 1964 is a very desirable year for Corvair enthusiasts as it is the last year for the Gen 1 body style but the first year for the updated rear (non swing axle) suspension. This air cooled 1964 Corvair has just 24,000 original miles on the odometer! As far as I can tell, the paint is mostly original. Sure, it has its share of blemishes, but for a 53 year old car it is in remarkable condition inside and out! It is loaded with options including fold down rear seat, powerglide transmission, push button AM radio, and AIR CONDITIONING!!!! The A/C Works. You'll need to give it a quick shot of freon a couple of times a year, but other than that the A/C system keeps you cool. The seats and headliner are original. We replaced the original carpeting a couple of years ago with the correct GM loop style. The car starts, runs and drives beautifully! I did enter it in a Covid Classic Car Parade for kids recently and I noticed one wheel was holding slightly.
