1965 Lincoln Continental ConvertibleOnly 3,356 Continental convertibles were built in 1965. Restored California car before I bought it 12 years ago. Excellent condition. Black exterior. Tan top. Tan interiorConvertible top works perfectly. If you know anything about convertible Continentals, it's hard to find them with good working tops. 430 CID 320HP V8 engine. Automatic transmission. Power Steering. Power Brakes. 6 way power seat. Power windows. Power vent windows. Power convertible top. Power antenna. Front grill powder coated black. 20" Polished Billett Aluminum one-off wheels. Kenwood CD w/BlueTooth w/4 in door speakers. 2 Amplifiers and 2 Kicker subs built in trunk. Beautiful car. Body is super straight with good alignment and gaps. Repaint Jet Black was done prior to me purchasing car. Nice deep shine. Sheetmetal all appears to be factory original and no patches found. Underside appears untouched. Was told that the doors had work done on the lower corners prior to paint, but they look great. Other than a couple small bumps on lower corners of doors, and one bubble (smaller than an eraser head). Areas have not gotten worse in 12 years. Rear bumper was rechromed. Chrome pieces look good. Tan convertible canvas top was new 12 years ago, and in excellent shape. No tears or rips.Interior looks amazing. New black carpet and Saddle tan leather prior to me purchasing it. Tan interior matches top. Dashpad looks like new. Woodgrain on doors looks beautiful. Small pitting on some of the chrome pieces, but still look good. Could be rechromed at some point. The factory radio is bypassed to the aftermarket one. The speedometer, odometer, and fuel gauge don't work. I also don't think the dash clock power door lock, or the a/c work (no belts to it). The gauges that work are Voltage, Oil, and Temp. The car was lowered and still rides great. Wanted to, and still may put it on airbags to get it nice a low. Hate to sell this car, but looking to get a boat for the whole family to enjoyClear title in handPlease no trade offers or low ballers. And no lookie-loos (I don't have time for it). I am willing to work with buyer on coordinating an auto transport if needed. |
