CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1953 Chevrolet 210 Two-door Sedan Vehicle Information Video Description 1953 Chevrolet 210 Two-door Sedan • First year for the new, mid-level trim series • Upgraded to Chevy 350ci V-8 engine with Edelbrock accessories • TH350 automatic transmission • Red over white exterior with red vinyl interior with white trim Even though it was never a Bel-Air, Chevy’s 210 was a far cry from the tradesman-like 150 at the bottom of the full-size car ladder. This example was made in General Motors’ Kansas City Leeds assembly factory (VIN code K) and is finished in a very handsome red and white color combination, perfect for a classic Chevrolet! The original six cylinder engine has been upgraded to a Chevy 350 V8 with automatic transmission. This 1953 Chevy is dressed in a brilliant white over red. The paint and trim are in overall very good order. The bodywork is straight, the engine bay is very tidy and the battery appears to be newer. The chrome bumpers are in okay shape but do have some blemishes and the driver’s side window is cracked. This 210 rolls on whitewall tires, size 235/75R15 at all four corners. Each tire is mounted on a steel wheel and has full moons as wheel covers. The wheel covers and tires are all in good, original order.Underhood is a Chevy 350 V-8 with Edelbrock air cleaner and valve covers and is matched with a TH350 automatic transmission. Inside, the exterior color scheme continues with a red vinyl interior with white trim. The bench seats look brilliant with matching red carpeting. A white headliner is in good, original condition while a two-spoke steering wheel is in the same shape. The red-and-white theme continues with the inner door panels and the metal instrument panel. Don’t be fooled by the floor-mounted shifter, it’s an automatic, not a manual. A Sunpro coolant gauge is mounted below the dashboard and the wipers are inoperable. Rounding out the interior is a factory AM radio but the antenna is missing. The Two-Ten series (VIN code B), introduced for the 1953 model year, replaced the Styleline DeLuxe series. It was actually the best-selling Chevrolet model during 1953 and ‘54, offering a balance of style and luxury appointments unavailable in the base 150 series but was less costly than the glitzy Bel Air. Two-Tens offered the widest choice of body styles for 1953, including a convertible, Sport Coupe hardtop, two- and four-door sedans and four-door station wagons. Unlike the 150 series, Two-Tens were always available with the same luxury options as the Bel Air, including the Powerglide automatic transmission, power window lifts and seat adjuster. The Two-Ten Townsman was the top station wagon model offered in 1953. Competition to this mid-level Chevy in 1953 was Ford’s Customline Tudor, Hudson’s Super Wasp two-door, Kaiser’s Deluxe, Nash’s Ambassador, Pontiac’s Chieftain and Plymouth’s Cranbrook. If you’re looking for a classic Chevy, this example would make a great cruiser with that classic ‘50s style. Stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today and check it out!
