| For your Consideration I have a 1934 Ford Coupe that has just been completed. This car took over 3 years to build, gathering as many original parts as possible from all over the country. My goal was to build a car that was traditional, putting it in the era of the 1940's and 50's. Mainly focusing on early Lakes Cars El Mirage and Bonneville. The body started out as a very well made heavy fiberglass body. From there the front half cowl was removed and a original 34 Ford firewall and cowl was installed. The floor was removed and a reproduction steel floor was installed. The Deck Lid Inner Fender Wells below Deck Lid roof insert inside door panels and hinges, hood, grille,radiator are all original or steel. The only fiberglass remaining are the 2 quarter panels outside door skins and back side of roof. Frame is original as well as the axles. The front axle is a Ansen drop axle (original). It also, has a very nice running 1939 Mercury Engine that was overhauled a few years ago. The transmission is a 39 Ford that was rebuilt. The rear axle was also, rebuilt with 4:11 gears. The Dash Panel is original and the Bomber Seats are reproduction of a P-38 Lightning Seat. There is a Roll down back window that was copied from an original pattern. The brakes are all new 1940 Ford but, may need a little adjusting. Seat belts are also, original stamped 1943. All the Tires are new with less than 1 mile on them.
