CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER | |

Available is a Great 1969 Chevelle SS. I'm selling it because We can't use the car as we once had and it is too nice of a car to sit in a garage and not being driven. It's time to let someone else enjoy it I purchased this car approx. 8 years ago. It had been restored approx. 2 years prior to me buying it and then stored in a climate controlled environment.I have driven the car less than 1000 miles a year since I have owned it. Many of those years it was driven less than 500 miles with no more than 200 miles on it this year. It has been garaged at all times since I owned it and I know the previous owner kept it in a garage as well. I listed the mileage as such because that is what is recorded on the odometer. I don't know the actual mileage the car but the engine has less than 5000 miles on it.The paint is in very good to excellent condition. There are minor nicks in the paint, due to the fact that I consider this car a driver and as you know things can happen. The body is very straight. The previous owner told me that he primed it and blocked it twice prior to painting it the original paint code 10, tuxedo black. He was a professional, owning his own paint and body shop. The trunk and floor pans are also all in excellent condition. The engine is a 427. It runs great with no issues. I had it built approx. 1 year after i bought the car. The car did not have the original engine and I replaced it. The build started with a counter exchange 4 bolt main block that had never been used. It was decked. The rotating assembly was balanced. The engine was built using a forged steel crankshaft, casting # 7115 that had never been used, nos. The pistons are KB standard bore, approx. 10.5 comp. ratio with Scat 6.135 connecting rods. The cam is a 270H Comp cam. It has Eldebrock aluminum heads with Scorpion 1.7 roller rockers. It has an Eldebrock aluminum Air Gap intake manifold. A Holley 750 Street HP double pump carb. with mechanical secondaries sits onto of that. There is a brand new MSD distributor and coil. It has Hooker ceramic coat headers and a 3" Pypes exhaust system on it. The transmission is a newly built custom M-22 muncie with a wide ration gear set. There is a posi-traction 12 bolt reared with a 3:08 gears gear set. The interior has no issues. It has a new headliner and sail panels and package tray. Dynamat was installed in allot of the areas. It has a retuned factory AM/FM Stereo radio from 1970. It was made to work with mp3 players. Rosewood steering wheel. All of the lights work except the back-up lights, there is no switch on the transmission. All of the gauges work except the amp. meter, it doesn't function properly. I tested the gauge and it works but I never traced the wiring to figure out where the problem exists. The pigtail on the windshield washer pump is no longer intact. I have the original pigtail, it just needs the connectors put back in and it can be hooked up. A few other things about the car:I installed a new stainless steel gas tankI began an upgrade to the suspension, new front sway bar, new Hotchkis gas shocks, new Hotchkis rear, lower trailing arms.I installed a larger diameter custom built driveshaft.I have some of the original parts that I replaced that will be included with the car along with manuals that I have used to assist me with working on the car since I owned it.I will include documentation about the engine build along with other documentation about some of the work that I did to the carThis is a great car. It has everything that you would want in a muscle car. Horsepower, incredible torque, and it is a real head turner. It sounds like a muscle car should. Please don't hesitate to ask questions I can add additional photos upon request. |
