1970 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air III, 400cid Engine, Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission, 373 12 Bolt Posi Rear, Air Condition. This car needs a total restoration. I purchased this car in 1979 and it underwent a restoration from 1984-1987. The Engine was rebuilt with all new GM Parts. The transmission was also rebuilt. The front and rear suspensions were replaced with all new parts. All of the sheet metal, with the exception of the hood and trunk lid, were replaced. The front and rear bumpers, grilles, chrome, tail light bezels and lenses were also replaced. Everything was done with original GM Parts. The engine and tranny have less then 1000 miles on them. The engine is not the original engine but it is a Ram air III motor. It starts right up and runs and sounds great. The drivers side floor pan has a hole in it. There are also 3 holes around the deck lid weather-strip. (See Photos) The deck lid needs to be replaced. The fenders, doors and quarter panels have surface rust but are otherwise solid. I have the AC Compressor and engine brackets, a new set of PMD Center Caps, Original Rochester Carburetor, a new GM front air dam and another set of front grilles, new GM chrome window trim and other parts. You can and hear the engine running here > https://youtu.be/tDRWC6mFfM4 |
