According to the previous owner, the car originally came from New Mexico and was kept in the climate-controlled garage during his ownership. He also made quite a few long-distance trips and used this Studebaker for weekend drives and classic car meets. The power is provided by original OHV Studebaker Skybolt 6 112 h.p. engine paired with automatic transmission. The seller states that the previous owner has the engine rebuilt and tuned up as well as transmission resealed. The seller attests that there are no leaks and very few drops under the car when he lets it sit. The brakes are original drum brakes that were said to be rebuilt as well under previous ownership, and the seller states that they stop the Studebaker well and straight with no “grabbing”. The steering is manual and operates well with no play. The hi/lo lights, indicator lights, brake lights, under dash lights and gauge lights operate as designed and are all in working order. In addition, the horn and windshield vipers also work as intended. The seller states that the previous owner of this Studebaker put on radial tires which are said to have less then 2000 miles on them and are in great condition. The seller states that this Studebaker is a great cruiser, drives nice and does not display any noise, knocks or smoke. The all steel body still retains its original factory Flamingo color. There may have been a one respray of this original color in the past. According to the seller, there is no rust present on the car, with exception of some surface rust, and the frame, trunk and floors are solid. The Studebaker retains all its chrome trim pieces with exception of the passenger bottom door trim panel that is missing. The seller states that there are paint bubbles, nicks and scratches of the paint. The windshield is scratch and chip free. The windows are also scratch and chip free. The seller states that at this moment the driver window needs to be raised and lowered by hand as the window handle works intermittently and the back passenger window needs to be raised and lowered by hand as the window handle does not engage the window. The off-white top is tear free and the mechanism works as intended and lowers/raises the roof with no issue. The Studebaker also comes with the convertible top “boot” cover in the same color as the top.The seller notes that the interior is very presentable and functional. The seller states that the door panels display wear and some tear; however, the seats are tear free and very comfortable. The front seats come equipped with original Studebaker lap belts. The original steering wheel also displays some cracks but is very presentable. The original gauge cluster is functional, and all the gauges work with exception of the clock that does not seem to be working. This Studebaker comes equipped with original radio that is also working. The heater is also operational and works as intended. Please visit our website (badapplerides dot com) for more info and photos of this cool rideYou can contact me through here or at my cell 281.six8six.5005 with any questions you may have.Sold as is, where it, with no warranty expressed or impliedI can assist with inexpensive/door-to-door shipping/transport (both open and enclosed) at buyer's expense$150 immediate deposit due upon purchase or offer acceptanceAll deposits are non-refundable |
