Relisted - previous buyer fell through before seeing the car.For sale is this '31 Model A Sport Coupe, in great cosmetic shape for shows and reliable mechanical condition for Sunday drives. It features a rumble seat and rear folding luggage rack.Chassis/title serial number is A3290895 (engine does not match)We bought this car out of a fudge shop in 2016, where it had been resting for a short time at the end of a long ownership period by the last owner. This previous owner enjoyed the car for many years as a member of the Model A club, even taking the car to Tennessee from Texas on one trip. Since purchase in 2016, it's been driven regularly on local trips, garage kept, and never been in the rain.-The previous owner conducted a frame-up restoration in 1971, including refinished wheels and rechromed trim. No wrecks, rust, or bondo on the all steel frame, perfect body work, and great paint. The landau top was replaced shortly before our purchase and taken care of since.-The engine and transmission were rebuilt to stock specs in 1990. The car has electric start, lever ignition, and left hand throttle. It runs on regular unleaded fuel, and has a single-plate clutch (requiring double-clutch on downshifts). The electric system has a fuse, alternator conversion, and a good battery.-Light maintenance and upgrades since purchase in 2016, including: twin LED brake lights, oil change, tune up, and recent carburetor rebuild. We have a stack of receipts for this stuff.-The car features two full-size spare wheels with covers. Seat belts have been installed. The interior fabric is in great shape without stains or rips, same with the rumble seat vinyl. There are no stories with this one: it's got a clean title and it's a good, honest car that prefers to be driven. Thus the sale, as we have too many competing priorities and projects to give this car the love it deserves. Every time it's pulled out of the garage, anyone walking by will stop and admire and ask questions. We're looking for a good new home for this people-pleaser, ideally in an enthusiast's garage who will really use it! |
