I amselling my 1953 MG TD because at age 77 it just isn’t as easy to drive anylonger. I have had the car for about 14 years ago. It came from Washington DCwhere it was claimed to have been owned by Margaret Mitchell, the wife of theAttorney General, John Mitchell but I never checked it out. It wasn’t runningand we did a lot of work to it including replacing wood in doors, etc. I havedriven it off an on ever since.I had theengine and carburetors fully rebuilt and new clutch and pressure plate ($6257.48photo of invoice provided) and it has been driven less than 500 mile sincethen. A number of chrome pieces have been replaced. The upholstery was addedabout eleven years ago and the top was replaced. They still are in goodcondition. I have the side curtains. Originally it was painted fourteen yearsago but the running boards were repainted about two years ago. There are anumber of little things mainly cosmetic that need attention, but I am too oldand tired to do them. I also think bushings in the front end need to bereplaced. Other than that it drives well and has been a fun car that turnsheads.
