Offered for sale is this absolutely beautiful,100% rust free two owner 1964 Buick Electra 225 convertible. This car is fully loaded with power steering, power brakes, factory air conditioning, cruise control, dual note horn, speed alert, clock, tilt wheel, power windows, power vent windows, power top, six way power seats, power trunk release and factory door edge guards. This car also has the quite rare 425 cubic inch motor with 465 ft. lbs. of torque and still retains the original carburetor. The car spent it's entire life in the Tri-Cities desert area of Washington State. The second owner purchased the car around 1980 from the original owner. Some documents with the car show the mileage at 118,000 in 1982. The car currently has 134,032. We purchased the car from the second owner's estate. The body on the car is incredibly straight with only two minor dings. The car was repainted in the original color most likely in the early 1980's and looks to be a very detailed job which has held up extremely well over all these years. The chrome and stainless are in excellent condition with no pitting. The rear bumper does have several dents in it with some damage at the ends. The interior was 100% original when we purchased the car however the leather inserts on the seats were badly cracked and split. The seats have now been completely restored using leather as original for the seat inserts and new vinyl in the original color. The carpets, door panels and dash are original. The dash does have one crack. The white convertible top works well and is in excellent condition. The rear plastic window could stand to be replaced as it's not that clear anymore and it has a 4 inch crack in it which occurred while putting the top down for photos. Most of the original trunk lining material is still intact but badly deteriorated. The original spare tire cover is still there but also badly deteriorated and the original convertible top boot in very nice condition remains with the car. The original jack is missing. We installed a beautiful set of 15" Buick Road wheels with correct Buick lug nuts and four brand new white wall tires. The car also comes with three of the original steel wheels, a fifth Buick Road wheel and all four of the original hub caps. We have also replaced the heater core. The car runs very well and most of the factory options are still working including the air conditioning and heater. The a/c compressor kicks on when engaged but it needs more refrigerant to get ice cold. Still on R12. All windows and top are working, the radio still works but sounds like the speaker needs replacement. The items not working are the clock, cruise control and speed alert. The power seat motor works but the seat track is stuck. The exhaust is solid and has an original NOS muffler which was installed by the second owner and still looks nearly new. The undercarriage and body are completely rust free. The car also comes with the original 1964 Buick owners manuals and convertible top manual. |
