| Price Reduced!1979 Fiat X1/9 - GARAGE FIND! ...in my garage. I am the second owner. I purchased it in 1983, and have receipts dating to 1980. The car has been off the road and stored in a heated garage for over 20 years. It is not currently running or drivable and will need significant work to bring it back to life or restore it. 79,448 miles, 5-speed manual transmission.I originally purchased the car in Florida and used it there as my daily driver for a number of years. It was driven less as our family grew and life intervened. We moved to Iowa in 1998 and the car hasn't moved from the garage since then. It did run and all systems were functional when it was parked. It has been started once since then, about 19 years ago.While in Florida, it was prepared to SCCA Solo II C/D Street Prepared rules in the 1980s. Modifications included MSW wheels, Addco anti-roll bars, Bayless springs, Koni adjustable shocks, headers, exhaust, Weber 34DMTR carb, Bayless air cleaner, electric fuel pump, Kenwood stereo, etc. It was dyno tuned and the distributor curve adjusted to take advantage of the modifications.The car is also fitted with a custom tow bar base plate and the tow bar will be included for flat towing. (PLEASE NOTE: I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS FOR INITIAL TRANSPORT. Bring a Trailer!) All of the original stock parts are included in this sale, including wheels, struts, springs, exhaust, carb, etc. along with workshop manuals. Also included is an additional 1500 engine and transaxle of unknown condition.
