CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
This is a beautiful 1962 Olds Dynamic 88 cruiser. I have had this car for about 6 years. I have updated it inside and out. It is mechanically sound and roadworthy. Just took it on about a 500 mile round trip to Iron Invasion in Davenport. Took it to the Back to the Fifties last year. It received many compliments and was a comfortable cruiser on these long distance cruises. I am selling to make room in the garage and get some extra cash to put towards my 1961 Cadillac project. Updates since purchasing.Front disk brake conversionAll new brake lines, master cylinder, booster throughoutFront suspension serviced with new ball joints as neededEngine pulled from the car, cleaned up, re-gasketed, and painted. New 2 barrel carbNew Pertronix ignition. New alternatorNew hoses and beltsNew custom seat coversNew carpeting over an insulated floor which has new drivers floor board and a welded patch for a smaller hole in the passenger side floor. Bluetooth radio under the dash with original non-operative radio still in dash. Body was sanded down and painted dark green with satin clear coat.Body does have mud in it and bubbling starting on drivers lower front fender (see pictures). Custom hand pinstriping.New weatherstripping and window felts throughout (with the exception of the wing windows. . . they reproduce them, but expensive)New exhaust (converted to dual utilizing factory style exhaust. Lowered with cut front springs and new lower springs in rear (still rides comfortably and handles well with no rubbing or bottoming out)Engine does use some oil (1/2 qt during this last 500 mile trip) but no obnoxious smoke. Transmission does leak when topped off. As the fluid leaks down, the leak stops and the transmission still shifts smoothly. (The transmission shop told me opening it up to fix the leak will be opening a can of worms and as long as its working well, drive it as is, so that is what I am doing). I have put about 7500 miles on this car and have enjoyed them all. Some may consider the buy it now price a little high. I think its worth it, although I am clearly biased. While I want to sell this car, I will miss it and if it doesn't sell I will continue to enjoy it. It may be a bad time of year to sell, but if I wait until spring, I probably won't want to let it go. Let me know if you want any other detailed pictures or if you have any questions.
