For QUICKEST reply, I can be reached at 917 SEVEN 96 SIX 4 EIGHT SIXThis is a true ESTATE FIND, low mileage, virtually RUST FREE example of the highly collectible VW Thing.The car runs strong, shifts well and has 4 brand new tires as well as a new carburetor. This is a 2 owner vehicle with a clean title. The previous owner bought the car in 1987 and kept it garaged year round. The mileage is documented by the original owner (Original bill of sale to second owner stating mileage available upon request). The car has not been registered since 1993 but has since been stored in a heated garage. The last owner was a WW2 buff and collector of historical military artifacts and exhibited the car as a clone of the German war vehicle Kubelwagen.Shortcomings are few. The passenger fender has a stain on the paint, the vinyl windows are somewhat clouded (I ordered new ones and will include them with the sale) and on an otherwise rust free body there's one 2 inch rust spot on the floor (please refer to last pic).The asking price is negotiable and all questions/offers are welcome.The car is currently stored at my Staten Island business, located within 15 minutes of the following bridges: The Outer bridge, Bayonne, Goethals and Verrazano.Thanks for looking!! | |
