Offering this beautiful 1965 Cadillac DeVille Convertible for sale with a clear title. This triple black DeVille lived in California for 52 years and recently moved to Virginia the past 3 years having been garage kept. The DeVille denoted Cadillac’s mainstream model, falling between the Calais and the Sixty Special and Eldorado. The DeVille was redesigned for 1965 but rode on the same 129.5” wheelbase. Tailfins were canted slightly downward, and sharp, distinct body lines replaced the rounded look. Also new were a straight rear bumper and vertical lamp clusters. The headlight pairs switched from horizontal to vertical, thus permitting a wider grille. Curved frameless side windows appeared, and convertibles acquired tempered glass backlights. New standard features included lamps for luggage, glove and rear passenger compartments and front and rear safety belts. Power was still supplied by the 340 horsepower 429 cu in V8, three gear automatic transmission. Perimeter frame construction allowed repositioning the engine six inches forward in the frame, thus, lowering the transmission hump and increasing interior room. The DeVille models had small “Tiffany-like” script nameplates on the ends of their rear fenders just about the chrome side molding. It has a rebuilt engine and transmission (under warranty through Jasper fully documented and will transfer) with less than 500 miles driven. Interior is in excellent condition. Convertible top is in excellent like new condition and functions. It is mechanically sound - runs and drives great. This beauty has had a total mechanical restoration performed. The owner did not leave one system unaddressed. Mechanically it has a new battery and cables, every fluid is new, seat and window switches have been overhauled, window motors replaced. The engine compartment has been completely detailed. The vehicle has a FiTech fuel injection system with sump - original air cleaner housing modified to accept fuel injection. All wiring was meticulously done – sleeved in vintage sleeving. All hoses, belts and sensors replaced. The steering box has been replaced. This vehicle is for sale by owner being displayed at Convenience Tire & Auto who is acting only as a Sales Agent.
