| Regrettably, I am selling my 1971 Lincoln Mark III. This car is really nice. 77,000 original miles. White is not the original car color. Car was originally Ivy Moondust and professionally painted at some point before I got the car and whoever painted it did an excellent job. White vinyl top is nice, body is exceptionally straight, and white leather seats are in very good condition. Has black carpets which are a nice contrast to the white seats. Car starts runs and drives very nicely- it will cruise all day at 75mph. I take it to work and back 50 mile round trip on nice days. It is garaged otherwise. AM 8 track radio- pulls stations intermittently but the 8 track works fine. Tires are good and the wide whites with the painted hubcaps are a really cool look. All floors frame and trunk are solid. Rimblow horn works. Somewhere along the way an Edelbrock carb was added as well as an alarm that I have the key for. Car was converted to R134A Air Conditioning but it needs a charge. It is a very nice car that you can drive now. WIth that, it does have a couple of items that need attention and they are as follows. Everything listed is not unusual to these cars based on other owners of these Lincolns. The rear windows need motors. I spent almost $1000 on all new driver's side window switches installed, as well as a passenger side motor. Both front windows work fine. The rears are so small I never used them. Exhaust started to get a little loud, and I believe it needs a manifold. One of the tailpipes is missing. So figure some exhaust but doesn't affect operation other than being a little loud. Only the speedometer and odometer work consistently. All other gauges are hit and miss. I understand this is due to needing an Internal Voltage Regulator-another quirk of these Lincolns from what I've read. And, the Sure-Trac brake light just came on. The front brake reservoir was a little low so I filled it but the light is still on. According to the Service Manuals(INCLUDED)the brakes need to be bled and I may or may not have time to do this. Car doesn't stop any differently than it did when the light was off. WIth everything the car needs I would still not hesitate to take a good drive in it. It certainly gets you noticed.
