427 Big Block ChevyMuncie 4 Speed Narrowed Ford 9” Rear End (3.77) You will not find a better looking, driving or sounding 79 Z! This car rolled off the line with a small, under powered 350sbc that just couldn’t backup the looks of this generation of Z/28s. Not the case anymore, as this car is now powered by a pretty warm 427 big block that’s .30 over, heads port and polished and has a complete new upper valve train that includes a new Lunati cam and roller rockers. This past Spring a new Edelbrock Air Gap intake,Edelbrock 800cfm AVS2 carb and MSD Pro Billet distributor were added along with new plugs and wires from Moroso. The interior of this car has also be redone from headliner to carpet! The dash speedometer and tach are working perfectly, and digital gauges were added to a custom base plate in front of the shifter for more accurate voltage, water temp, and oil pressure readings. The stock gauges on the dash can always be tied back if the new owner wishes to remove the digital gauges. A new JAZZ 12 gallon fuel cell was added to the trunk due to limited space where the factory fuel tank was located after the addition of the narrowed Ford 9” rear end. Mini tubs were also added to make room for the oversized tires and really set this car apart from the rest. To keep it looking closer to stock but give it that “sleeper” identity, the interior was all completely redone and the mini tubs were upholstered to match the rest of the interior which can only be noticed by someone who really knows this generation of Z/28s.The paint on the car is less than 10 years old and looks amazing! There are only a few very minor road dings, but best of all there is not a speck of rust on this entire car! When it was repainted it was done with the frame off and upgraded to a 2009 Camaro color, instead of the stock camel brown.I also have original build sheet, glove box paperwork, as well as a binder with over 10 years of receipts that show all the meticulous work that has been done and parts that have been added/upgraded. The car originally came with air conditioning but because of the addition of the big block 427 it was removed due to lack of space under the hood and the addition of the dual electric fans and large capacity aluminum radiator. There are just to many upgrades to mention, please take a look at the pictures and see for yourself. The idea was always to keep the car looking close to stock, but give it the muscle and sound it deserved without sacrificing the looks and carving up the interior and dash like so many others do with classic cars.I can’t say enough about this car, almost everything from front to back has been upgraded and well taken care of. All work including paint, interior and mechanical has been professionally done. If you would like any more information or pictures, please do not hesitate to ask!
