1969 JAGUAR SERIES II E-TYPE OTSYou are viewing a fifty-one (51) year old Jaguar Series II E-type OTS with just over 115,000 miles on the clock. The vehicle is in excellent (near concurs) condition and the mileage should not be a concern because of the time and money I have invested in the car since I bought it in 2002. After this introductory paragraph is a complete history of every dime I have spent on this classic since I purchased it in 2002. Highlights include:•Complete engine rebuild in 2003 @ 88,267 miles.•Complete rear brake(s) rebuild in 2003 @ 88,532 miles.•Gas tank and master brake cylinder replacement in 2003 @ 88,702 miles.•Complete suspension overhaul in 2005 @ 91,889 miles.•Body restoration including new floor pans and paint in 2006 @ 94,950 miles.•New wire wheels in 2014 @ 109,078 miles.•Complete new leather interior and top in 2015 @ 109587 miles.•New front torsion bars in 2016 @ 111,801 miles.The car is – today – solid as a rock, starts every time you turn the key, beautiful to the extreme, and is exhilarating to drive. Every time I park it somewhere, there is a crowd around it when I try to get back in.Known issues…..Only two known that I have not yet addressed:1.The top bow (the metal framework that supports the cloth top) is shot and needs to be replaced. You can raise the top, but it is an effort, and – when latched – the middle latch needs to be zip-tied to stay in place.2.The oil pressure gauge is after-market.
