1969 Ford Torino Cobra 428CJ, 4 speed close ratio transmission. This is a solid, clean, low mileage, two owner, complete car. It was originally an Indian Fire red car, but was painted silver in 1978 by the original owner. I purchased it from the original owner, who bought it with his brother in April of 1969 to drag race. It had been in storage for over 25 years when I purchased it and then I had it stored as well for six years, as I was overseas. Both storage locations were climate controlled and there is no mildew, mice, etc. Unfortunately, it does not run and does not have the original block in it. As it was bought as a drag racer, the block was swapped with another in the 80s, however the CJ heads are date correct with an October 68 date code. Additionally, the close ratio 4 speed transmission is correct and intact. At some point it was converted to front drum brakes (I have no idea why), however, I have the correct disc spindles, power booster, with master cylinder and the Cobra Jet Specific booster mount. The engine is a time capsule with many vintage parts to include an Offenhauser Port O Sonic intake and So-Cal valve covers. The original hood has been replaced by a stock Torino hood, as the original hood was cut for a large snorkel scoop in the 80s. The glass, trim and lenses are in amazing condition, with the exception of the small dings shown in the pics and the one small crack on the front marker light. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I've been very honest with the description, but feel free to come look at it, if available.
