Ford F-250. Original Colorado Truck. The suspension is unmolested, with the original 4.56 gears. Engine was replaced in 2016 with a performance 390 GT that was built for a 1967 Mustang GT that I once owned and never installed. Transmission replaced (NP 435) 03-2020 purchased used/rebuilt and it is very solid. Engine was professionally built by a machinist (short block). All mechanical work has been performed by myself. Truck is rewired from bumper to bumper and cleaned up under the dash. All wiring works good and was completed before engine was changed out per ford truck schematic so it's done right. Front fenders were replaced prior to engine install. Truck bed was replaced this last spring (2020). No oil leaks underneath and the floor pans were replaced by someone before my taking her to a new life. Every thing on this truck is in working condition and is dependable as a daily driver around town or on the ranch.Engine : 1970 Ford FE 428 block (Heavy Web Block) Crankshaft, Ford FE 390 GT, 2U C6AZ-6303-A Rear sump oil pan Melling high volume oil pump with factory rear sump pickup Melling heavy duty oil pump distributor shaft Stock Ford FE rods Pistons TRW flat top 10/1 .40 over Heads, D2TE-AA , hardened guides and valves dual performance valve springs added Cam, Lunati Voodoo #10330703 268/273 duration, 1600 - 5800 RPM Flat Tappet Hydraulic Push rods, stock hydraulic Litters, Melling High performance Bearings, TRW API, head stud bolts Gaskets, Fel Pro high performance API Super Damper, and custom drive pulley New alternator NAPA water pump New clutch New windshield wipers MSD electronic ignition system MSD ignition spark plug wires Custom piped heater hose fittings, radiator feed and return lines piped with copper, no leaks Factory 4 barrel cast iron intake Holley 4 barrel carburetor Holley high pressure fuel pump Old school Ford "Pent Top" factory valve covers Summit Racing air cleaner Headers New dual exhaust pipe with Mega flow muffler's Summit Racing H-Pipe cross over kit Windshield is clear without cracks or stars with very minimal pitting for it's age Brakes are just brakes Steering is manual the way it was back then This truck is not a truck for a first time driver, she is a monster Pipe (utility) rack and tool box are available as an option at a negotiable price. We call this truck "The Calico Monster" she runs very strong and she gets it on. This monster get's full attention when people hear her idle out and take off for a drive. She sounds as good as she goes. We use the truck to make short trips to the composting site about once a year. She sometimes gets to drive up to the grocery store and other short errands like the Post Office. The truck has less than 200 miles on it from the first time I started her up with the 390 GT under the hood. I would estimate about a total of 47 hours of run time.We thought it best to let her go as is, unpainted or any modifications to the suspension. Meaning she is right for what ever direction the new owner wants to go. I do have all the original Ford Dealership paper work as well more history as to where it has been parked before I brought her back to life. Oh, she likes high grade octane fuel. Note: This truck when completely finished will value in the $27,000.00 to $36,000.00 range, or more depending on what venue one takes to custom her. Yet she is fine as is waiting for conversation or waking up the neighbors.Good luck and congratulations to who the new owner may be. Fell free to contact me with a email address or phone # and I will provide a short video of her casually opening up on a cruise down the road so to get the full picture of what she can do. Note: this truck has been tuned down for a reason to keep her roadable and not in the eye of the troopers.. She runs ! |
