Everything from the 302-cubic inch high compression engine down to the deep pulley alternator (made to properly operate at 7000+ RPMs) was designed to make the Z/28 one of the most potent small block production muscle cars ever made. This numbers matching Camaro is one of the very few 7,199 total Z/28s' produced in 1968 and was built at the Los Angeles (Van Nuys), CA plant, assembled in late May. Fast forward to 2017 and the Z/28 is still powered by its original, numbers matching 302ci solid-lifter V8. The Camaro is unrestored with 44,017 original miles and possesses an actual-mileage title. Certified by renowned Camaro expert, Jerry MacNeish, this Z/28 has been authenticated that the engine and rear axle are the original units installed at the Chevrolet factory. The M-20 Muncie manual transmission is a replacement component.
