| '69 Road Runner. Car is a survivor with just over 48,000 actual miles. Not needing much more than paint, this car is so close to being ready to go. The engine was recently rebuilt and runs solid (drove it around this weekend), but needs a tune-up to be 100%. I'd also perform a front disc upgrade...was on my list next. It sits on its original road wheels, with all trim rings, and new red line tires. As far as rust goes, the trunk is very solid, as are the floor pans and fenders. There is one small area, smaller than a quarter, right in front of the driver's side rear wheel that will need repair. The frame is in great shape. The rear seat is perfect; the front bench has a tear in the driver's and passenger's side (see pic). Direct replacement seat covers are already on order, but delayed due to the 'Rona (will ship at my cost to you on arrival). The vehicle will come with many additional parts, including a new hood (existing hood is a little rusty underneath and has hood pin holes), new weatherstripping, extra drum brake parts (springs/shoes), decals and other assorted odds and ends. This bird comes with all original documentation, including fender tag, broadcast sheet, window sticker, purchase contract, owner's manual, all dealer installed option paperwork, warranty work, registrations...you name it, through 1975. This will be a real time capsule once completed. | |
