About this vehicle This 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS is an original. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle needs work. Seller's Notes Please note it has a big block Chevy motor. it is not the original. Exterior This is a 396 big block NOM. The engine turn freely, however it will need a Carburator and a tune up. It has all new suspension about $4,200 was spent on polyurethane bushings new front and rear sway bars from Hotchkis and KYB shocks . The vehicle was purchased in Oakland California and has been here all its life. Most of the paint is original so a full restoration will be needed. The floors appear to be clean with no rust holes. There’s 3 spots that will require attention the left rear 1/4 panel about 1 inch and left and right front fenders by the rockers have a little rust. Everything else including the inside of the bed appear solid. I ripped the carpet out to check the floor pans , however the seat is in excellent condition. Engine The 396 in the car has good compression and turns freely.
