I was thrilled to see the condition of the floors the first time I lifted the carpets out – pretty amazing. It’s a very solid car overall. A repaint in its original red was carried out following rust repairs in 2006. Subsequent work included interior refurbishment, a tune-up, and detailing work as well as replacement of the exhaust system, fluids, bushings, gaskets, electrical components, driveline mounts, and more in 2019. 1964 was the final year for the split bumpers and eggcrate grille seen on this example. Red steel 15″ wheels are fitted with chromed trim rings and hubcaps, with all wearing older Michelin tires which are due for replacement. One headlamp and the rear window seal have been replaced under current ownership.The 1.8-liter B18B inline-four was rated at 108 horsepower with 110 lb-ft of torque for 1964, and is fitted with dual SU carburetors as well as a Crane electronic ignition unit.
